Flint Central grad Demetrius Miller has big night for Metro State basketball team

Demetrius ‘Meechie’ Miller, a former standout guard at Flint Central and Mott Community College, is now a senior at Metro State, one of the top Division II programs in the country. Metro State is ranked No. 3 in the latest Division II poll, and Miller had a career-high performance for them over the weekend. From the news release:

Demetrius Miller scored a career-high 31 points as No. 3 Metro State cruised to a 79-54 win at UC-Colorado Springs on Friday night. MSU improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while UCCS fell to 0-7 and 0-3.

Miller buried 12-of-17 from the floor, including five 3-pointers, while pulling down five rebounds.

Miller, always a high efficiency guard at Mott, leads the team in scoring at 16.4 points per game and he’s shooting 54 percent overall and 54 percent from 3-point range.
