Wayne State’s Chene Phillips is this week’s GLIAC Player of the Week

Wayne State‘s Chene Phillips has been named this week’s GLIAC North Division Player of the Week. From the news release:
Wayne State University junior guard Chene Phillips helped the Warriors to a pair of road victories last week. He tallied a game-high 29 points along with seven rebounds and 14 assists in the win at Tiffin. Phillips also limited Tiffin’s Joe Graessle to four points in the first half as WSU built a 38-25 lead at intermission. He had 20 second-half points including 12-of-12 from the foul line. Phillips contributed 18 points, nine rebounds and two assists in the win at Ohio Dominican. For the week, he averaged 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
Phillips, a junior, is a Division I transfer from Liberty University.
