Olivet’s Garner Small named MIAA Player of the Week

Olivet College senior center Garner Small has been named this week’s MIAA Player of the Week. From the news release:

Olivet center Garner Small, a senior from Schoolcraft (Schoolcraft HS), averaged 25 points, five rebounds, and 4.5 assists in leading the Comets to a pair of nonconference victories. He fired in 24 points and added seven rebounds and seven assists in an 83-80 road victory at Union, Ky., and later scored 26 points, including four 3-pointers, in a 69-60 win against Purdue Calumet, Ind. Small, who is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career, shot 58 percent from the field (20 of 34) and 47 percent (7 of 15) from 3-point range for the week.
