Dezelski, Haidar are GLIAC players of the week

For the second consecutive week, Michigan Tech‘s Ali Haidar has been named the GLIAC North Player of the week. Hillsdale‘s Tim Dezelski won the award for the South Division. From the news release:

Michigan Technological University senior forward Ali Haidar scored 35 points in a 86-59 win over Bemidji State. The Windsor, Ontario, native shot 13-18 from the field including 4-of-5 3-pointers. He also shot 5-of-7 from the free throw line and grabbed eight rebounds. Haidar is averaging 29.7 points per game this season and is currently 12th in scoring at Michigan Tech with 1,361 points.

Hillsdale College junior Tim Dezelski made it three double-doubles in three games Sunday in Hillsdale’s 71-65 home win over Lewis. He set a new career-high with 26 points, going 9-for-12 from the field, making 83 percent of his free throws and drained three 3-point field goals. He also tied a career high with 13 rebounds and played 36 minutes as the Chargers improved to 3-0 on the season.
