Detroit native Chris Douglas-Roberts‘ D-League debut couldn’t have gone much better as he scored 49 points with eight assists. Although he certainly won’t put up those kind of numbers every game, he does believe his preparation will allow him to have success that should ultimately lead him back to the NBA. Via NBA.com:

“Everybody else is making more of a big deal of [the 49 points] than I actually am. I really prepare for this game. I really take this game very seriously, every part of it. I’m really dedicated to this game so whenever I play, I expect to play well. This is just a confirmation for all of the work I put in this summer.”
