Several Michigan-based American Basketball Association semi-pro teams are in action around the state this weekend. Here’s a roundup:

Pontiac Firebirds

The Pontiac Firebirds are in action on Saturday at home against the Chicago Fury. The game will be at 6 p.m. at Pontiac High School.

Pontiac’s roster features guard Nucleus Smith, a former Pontiac Northern TCU player, and forward Mike Williams, a Detroit City High School graduate who was a JUCO All-American at Schoolcraft College and the 2004 MAC Player of the Year at Western Michigan. The game will be broadcast on the Michigan Regional Sports Network.
