Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle has an excellent story on former Saginaw and Michigan State star Draymond Green, with Green discussing his move to the West Coast and his frugal lifestyle. Green also talked about how he thinks his way through the game:

“I see the game differently than some guys,” Green said. “I’m always reading the next move. When the ball isn’t in my hands, I’m already scanning for where the next pass is going. I’m not as athletic as some guys, so I have to counter that with a tremendous brain that thinks the game.”

Simmons notes in the article that Green is competing with veterans Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush and fellow rookie Harrison Barnes for minutes at small forward and that the Warriors have been impressed with Green’s rebounding ability.
