MI Vs. Ohio game highlights Buckeye Elite Showcase
September 20, 2012 in High School
Several high school and middle school basketball players from Ohio will participate in the Buckeye Elite Showcase Sept. 22-23 in Columbus, but the event will also include a Michigan vs. Ohio all-star game at 5 p.m. Saturday. From the press release:
New this year are the Ohio North vs South Challenge games, which are currently scheduled for Saturday afternoon starting about 11:00am. These “challenge” games will pit the top 10 players from northern Ohio against their counter parts from southern Ohio in rising grades 6-9th (2018 -2015). Also, as most sports fans know, the states of Ohio and Michigan are known for a fierce rivalry that’s decades old and spans multiple sports. This year’s showcase will also feature a first-ever showdown between Michigan’s best and the Buckeye State’s elite players in the inaugural Ohio vs Michigan Showdown.
Here are a list of rosters and schedule for those making the trek down to Ohio. And here is the Team Michigan roster:
- Coaches – Al Eichelberger and Eugene Brown
- Billy Thomas, Farmington Hills
