The Central Michigan basketball team is still in a bit of an adjustment period, with a new coach in Keno Davis and only a handful of returning players from last season. Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press reports that CMU’s team trip to play in the Bahamas this week should help the coaching staff and the players continue to get to know each other:

“As a team, we’re going to grow, get to know each other and bond, but we’re also there to play basketball and win some games,” guard Austin Keel said. “Really just get to know everyone playing against other people. It will be a little different.”

Several teams are doing trips this month — Western Michigan is heading to Europe, Albion and Michigan Tech both went to Italy and Wayne State is playing in Canada.
