Jalen Rose thinks Benton Harbor native Wilson Chandler will be a NBA All-Star

This was an interesting tweet by Jalen Rose last night to fellow Michigander Wilson Chandler of Benton Harbor:

Chandler, a small forward for the Denver Nuggets, has career averages of 13.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting 45 percent (32 percent from three) for his career. He’s entering his sixth NBA season, but he’s still just 25-years-old, so he’s just entering his prime years.

Injuries limited Chandler to just eight games for Denver last season after returning from China, where he played during the NBA lockout. He didn’t shoot the ball well when he was on the court for the Nuggets in that limited action. Making an All-Star team seems out of the realm for him considering how competitive those spots are to get, but it’s conceivable that he could improve significantly still. He has the size and athleticism to be a great defensive player, perhaps something that will rub off on him playing next to newly acquired Andre Iguodala, one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA.
