J’Nathan Bullock, Giordan Watson sign in Finland
July 17, 2012 in Professional
Fresh off of leading their team in Iceland to a championship, Michigan natives J’Nathan Bullock (Flint Northern) and Giordan Watson (Birmingham Groves) will continue to hoop in Scandinavia after signing with Team Karhu in Finland. From EuroBasket (translation is a bit rough):
Finnish Top League (Korisliiga) Team Karhu (Kauhajoki) has signed with American F J’Nathan Bullock (196-F-87, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Cleveland St.2005-09) for coming 2012-13 season. Bullock is already the second American player leaving Iceland and the Champion Team Grindavik and joining Team Karhu. Grindavik G Giordan Watson (178-G-85, college: Cent.Michigan) signed already earlier with this Finnish team. Bullock averaged last season 21,4 ppg – 9,6 rpg in 31 contests. Bullock has also played professionally in Australia and in Belgium.
I’m not sure how the competition level compares from Finland to Iceland, but Bullock has put up impressive numbers in stops in Belgium and Australia before his MVP season in Iceland, so I’d expect he’ll be a big-time player in this league as well.
