NBA Summer League ends prematurely for Oakland’s Reggie Hamilton

Former Oakland star Reggie Hamilton is one of several local players I’ve been pulling for in the NBA Summer League, but according to Paul Kampe of The Oakland Press, an injury will force Hamilton out of action. Kampe’s tweets:

Agent says he and Hamilton will make decision on professional offers, which have been coming from Europe, by end of the month. @OUGrizzlies

That’s a shame for Hamilton, but he’s a definite professional player somewhere, and if he goes overseas and continues to be the scoring machine he was in college while also showing he can run an offense, he’ll get another NBA opportunity at some point.
