Moneyball Pro-Am kicks off in Lansing this weekend

Desmond Ferguson‘s annual Moneyball Pro-Am in Lansing kicks off this weekend. Here are game times/information:
Lansing is proud to announce the 9th Annual Moneyball Pro-Am Summer League (MPSL), featuring current and former professional and collegiate basketball players.
The MPSL, is a 501©3, non-profit organization designed to foster community relationships and awareness with Lansing youth. Providing a positive form of recreation and entertainment, the pro-am league uplifts the community. The staff of the Moneyball Pro-Am would like to maintain winning ways and proud traditions for many years to come. We continue to set forth a competitive summer league and schedule. Our goal is to establish one of the greatest summer leagues in the country.
The Moneyball Pro-am will be at Pattengill Middle School (626 Marshall Street, Lansing, MI 48912) and begins Saturday July 7, 2012 and ends on Sunday August 5, 2012.
Games times will be 4:15pm, and 5:30pm, every Saturday and Sunday.
All games are FREE to the public.

Rosters for the four teams, which include several Michigan State players as well as current players from Oakland University, Lansing Community College, Kalamazoo College and others as well as current professional players, are available here. Last year’s even provided a lot of entertaining games. Definitely worth the trip to Lansing.
Other pro-am leagues include one at the historic St. Cecilia in Detroit and one in Flint.
